Updated LAF Briefing #24 {August 18, 2009}

In June, 2009, AAUW signed new amicus briefs to support plaintiffs in two different workplace sexual harassment cases, Harris v. Mayor and City Council of Baltimore City and Reeves v. C.H. Robinson Worldwide, Inc. Also in June, the U.S. Supreme Court issued a ruling in Ricci v. DeStefano. AAUW had signed an amicus brief in this nationally significant case in support of the position of the city of New Haven, Connecticut, and the steps it took to ensure workplace fairness, a position that was ultimately rejected by the court.
