Women’s Dissertation Fellowship Winner
to speak at Regional Conference
Kimberly Miller is a 1999/2000 recipient of the distinguished AAUW Women’s Dissertation Fellowship award supporting her topic "Women, Violence, and Visual Representation in the Recent History of South Africa." She will address the conference attendees on Saturday evening at the dinner banquet.
Miller is a PhD candidate at the University of Wisconsin-Madison,
specializing
in African and African-American art and women’s studies. She has taught
at the University of Wisconsin-Madison in the art history, African
American
studies, and women’s studies departments, and was a Teaching Fellow for
the college of Letters and Science in 1997/98. In 1998/99 she taught art
history at the University of Cape Town and University of Witswatersrand
in Johannesburg, South Africa.
