This award recognizes people, publications, and activities in Indiana in two categories:

• Directly focuses on AAUW issues/public policies, including gender equity in the schools, women in higher education
• Focuses on women’s issues in the state, such as excellent coverage of AAUW activities (or a similar organization) by a newspaper, a faculty member or an entire university’s efforts on women’s studies, or women’s programs

Look around your community for someone deserving of this award and then submit the name of the person or group along with supporting documentation such as newspaper articles, etc. Nominations should be sent to Carroll Parsons, diversity coordinator. These must be received by March 31. Branches or individuals may submit as many nominees as they like.

Winners will be announced at the state convention on April 29.
