Welcome to AFROTC Detachment 218!

     We are truly pleased you are visiting and hope you will find the information on our site useful. Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps (AFROTC) Detachment 218 is one of 144 AFROTC units nationwide that produces leaders for the United States Air Force. Located in Terre Haute, Indiana, on the beautiful Indiana State University (ISU) campus in the Myers Technology building, Detachment 218 falls under the ISU College of Technology. ISU has had an AFROTC program since 1982. From 1982 to 1987, the program was administered out of Detachment 215, Indiana University. On 1 June 1987, Detachment 218 was chartered as a separate detachment at ISU, with Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology as a major cross-town institution. The detachment also has cross-town agreements with Vincennes University and St. Mary-of-the-Woods College and Ivy Tech community College-Wabash Valley Region.
