We in the Department of Art are dedicated to creating a learning
environment in which students are at once challenged and
encouraged. Our program is distinguished by the smallness of its
classes, committed and experienced faculty members, and a
curriculum that strikes a balance between traditional art-making
process and cutting edge technology. On the ISU campus, we
occupy four buildings with over 70,000 square feet of fully
equipped studios, galleries, and offices. We offer the bachelor
of fine arts and the bachelor of science in studio art, the
bachelor of arts in art history, the bachelor of science in art
education, the master of arts, and the master of fine arts.
An exemplary system of undergraduate advisement and graduate
coordination gives students the necessary support they need in
