2001: He split starting catching duties with Tommy Jeffers, earning the starting nod in 33 contests • He tossed out 18 potential base stealers • offensively, he had five multi-hit games and and six multi-RBI games • he had a hit in 26 of the 31 Missouri Valley Conference contests, highlighted by a seven-game hitting streak • he had a break-out game against Austin Peay (March 13), where he went three-for-three, hit 2 home runs, scored four runs and tallied 3 RBI. 2000: Started 47 games behind the plate as a true freshman • 17 of his 37 hits were for extra bases, including 10 doubles, a triple and six homers • also saw action as the Sycamores’ designated hitter. HIGH SCHOOL: Won team’s golden glove award twice • named conference Player of the Year his senior year • named to first-team All-Cincinnati • a 40th round draft choice of the Florida Marlins • named to first-team All-Cincinnati.
