2001: The Sycamores No. 1 starter for the second-straight year,
who made a team-high 13 starts the left-hander was also the team leader
in innings pitched (84) and strike outs (72) against Creighton (April
20), he posted a career-high 13 strikeouts, the most by an ISU hurler since
Aric LeClair turned the same feat on April 29, 2000 against Northern Iowa he
had four eight-plus strikeout performances and five performances where
he allowed two or less earned runs. 2000: As a true freshman, he
led ISU in wins (10), innings pitched (93.0), strikeouts (74), complete
games and shutouts en route to earning MVC Freshman of the Year honors
he also was tabbed freshman first-team All-American by Collegiate Baseball,
freshman honorable mention All-American by Baseball America and to second
team of ABCA/Rawlings All-Midwest Region team he held opponents to a
dismal .201 batting average. HIGH SCHOOL: A two-sport team MVP,
baseball and basketball named player of the year in baseball by Evansville
Courier earned all-conference honors in football he lettered three
years in football, basketball and baseball played in the state of Indiana
North/South game his senior year in baseball, he he hit .424 with 6 home
runs and as a pitcher, he posted a 4-3 mark with a 0.79 ERA attended
the same high school as former Sycamore pitcher and current New York Yankee,
