RESULTS
The race site is the LaVern Gibson Championship Course
located at the Wabash Valley Family Sports Center, located approximately
ten miles east of Terre Haute, Indiana. MAP
The course is a rolling and challenging surface. Both maps are available
to be printed out in .pdf formats.

COURSE INSPECTION
On Friday, November 9, 2001, the course will be open
for team inspection from 2 p.m. until 6 p.m.
COACHES MEETING & DECLARATIONS
The site of the Coaches Meeting and Declarations will be at the Wabash
Valley Family Sports Center located adjacent to the cross county course,
on the left as you enter the course. Declarations, the dinner and the Coaches
Meeting will all occur at the Wabash Valley Family Sports Center. Declarations
and packet pickup will be from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. The Coaches Dinner
will begin at 6:30 p.m., and the Coaches Meeting will begin immediately
after the dinner.
RESULTS
Results will be available at the course shortly after the completion of
both races. Each participating institution will receive a copy of the results
and will also be posted on this website, following the meet. On Monday,
November 12th, each sports information office of each participating institution
will be mailed a copy of the results, as well as the coaching staffs of
each school. If requested in advance, results can be e-mailed by sending
an e-mail to Danny Kambel.
No individual institutions will be able to receive the results by fax.
MEDIA CREDENTIALS
All media credential requests must be sent to the attention of Danny Kambel
by Wednesday, November 8th. If it is sent prior to Friday, November 3rd,
it will be mailed to the interested party on the morning of the 3rd. If
you have not received your credentials by Thursday, November 8th, either
e-mail
Danny Kambel, media coordinator or call him at 812-237-4073 to discuss
a way the credential can be picked up. Your credential must be displayed
in a proper form and will grant you access to the course, to the press
box, the media tent and the press work room.
MEDIA TENT
There will be a media tent available to media credential holders on the
grounds of the Wabash Valley Family Sports Center. The top three finishers
and the head coaches of the top three teams will be available, following
a 10-minute cooling off period. Any other interview requests will be coordinated
by media coordinator - Danny Kambel. Selected quotes will be made available
to members of the media.
MEDIA ROOM
There will be a media room available to media credential holders, following
the meet in the Wabash Valley Family Sports Center. Please note, there
will only be one phone-line available on a first-come, first serve basis.
CHAMPIONSHIP QUALIFICATION
The top two teams and the top four individuals, not on one of those teams
(providing they finish in the top 25) will automatically qualify for the
NCAA Meet to be held on Monday, November 19, 2001 at Furman University.
On Monday, November 12, 2001, the Division I Cross Country Committee will
select 13 at-large teams and 2 at-large individuals from the NCAA's nine
regions. Thirty-one teams and 38 individuals will qualify for the NCAA
Division I Championships.
