2004 — Saw limited special teams action, but provided valuable service on the Sycamore scout team.

2003 — Sat out the season as a redshirt.

High School — Playing on both sides of the ball, Godby started 24 games at offensive guard and 13 at defensive end at Hamilton Heights High School ... He registered 52 tackles, four sacks and knocked down a pair of passes as a defender ... Godby was named honorable mention all-state during his senior season and was a two-time all-conference selection ... A captain his senior year, he was named outstanding offensive lineman for two consecutive seasons ... Godby was also a member of the Bloomington Herald First Team Small-State squad and named All-Ledger for two years ... He was one of eight Sycamore recruits to play in 2003 Indiana Football Coaches Association All-Star Football Classic.
