Assistant Coach, Indiana State Football

Beginning his second season as a member of the Indiana State football staff, Nathaniel "Lou" Seaward moves over to coach the wide receivers.

During the 2003 season, Seaward worked under defensive coordinator Tim Burke coaching the defensive backs.

Prior to joining the Sycamores, Seaward coached the wide receivers at Missouri Western State College in St. Joseph, Mo., for two seasons (2001-02), where two of his receivers earned All-MIAA Conference honors, including 2001 MIAA Player of the Year, Jerris Evans.

His coaching career started at Winterset High School in Winterset, IA. A 1994 graduate of WHS, he served as the wide receivers and defensive backs coach for the Huskies from 1998-2000.

While attending the University of Northern Iowa, Seaward was a member of three consecutive Gateway Conference Championship teams (1994-96). His defensive backs coach with the Panthers was Dick Moseley. He graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Criminology with a Coaching minor from UNI.

Seaward resides in Terre Haute.
