SPRINGFIELD, Mo. - Three Indiana State Sycamores scored in double figures but it was Missouri State’s red hot shooting and stifling defense that led the Bears to an 80-60 win over the Sycamores in Springfield Missouri Saturday night.

ISU (5-4, 0-1) trailed by nine at the half 41-32, thanks to a 7-1 run, but the Bears (9-1, 1-0)  would come out of the locker room with a 7-0 run of there own and led by 16, 48-32, with16:48 left before Marico Stinson (Memphis, TN) hit a three to end the run.  The Sycamores struggled from the field early in the second half, hitting just two field goals in the first 8:42.

The Sycamores made a couple of runs in the second half to cut the lead down to 11, but could never get over hump.  ISU turned it over 21 times in the game, 13 in the first half, and the Bears 53.8 percent shooting from the field in the game was the difference.

Stinson led Indiana State with 17 points while Gabe Moore (Little Rock, Ark) and Adam Arnold (Decatur, IN) each added 10.  Four Bears finished in double figures, led by 19 from Blake Ahearn.
