2005-06: Made an immediate impact during his freshman season, scoring in double figures 14 times … led the team in scoring three times last year and finished as the squad’s leading rebounder on five occasions … led the team in steals four different times and paced t h e Sycamores in blocked shots in seven games … shot 45-percent from the field and connected on 15-of-45 from three-point range … started in his collegiate debut against Central State (Nov. 18) and scored 14 points … grabbed seven rebounds twice as a freshman … scored 10 points and posted two blocked shots against Indiana (Dec. 6) … tallied 15 points in his first career league game against Illinois State (Dec. 19) … scored a season- high 18 points at Bradley (Jan. 21) on the strength of four three-pointers … scored 12 points and grabbed six rebounds against Wichita State in the second round of the MVC Tournament ... MVC All-Freshman Team selection.
High School: Named the Gatorade Player of the Year in Kansas for 2004-05…earned the Kansas Mr. Basketball award following his senior season…earned first-team all-state honors…was named First Team All-State 5A and First Team All-State All-Classes…a two-time First Team All- City and All-League selection…averaged 19.8 points per game and 9.5 rebounds per contest as a senior…connected on 60 percent of his field goal attempts and registered 56 blocks during the 2004-05 season…helped Topeka West win the Centennial League Conference Championship finish as the state runner-up…as a junior he averaged 15 points, 9.8 rebounds, and 3.0 assists per contest…named the Freshman of the Year and Sophomore of the Year in the Centennial League…also earned all-state accolades in baseball.
