21, 2007 SYCAMORES ROLL INTO HAMPTON INN TIDE CLASSIC Terre Haute, Ind. – Coming off an impressive Lion Softball Scramble Tournament Title Indiana State (4-1-0, 0-0 MVC) is set to roll into tide country to play in the Hampton Inn Tide Classic this weekend hosted by University of Alabama. The Sycamores will be joined in the Hampton Inn Tide Classic by N.C. State (7-2), Western Kentucky (4-7), Winthrop (2-2), and host Alabama (10-0). This competitive field includes Alabama which is currently ranked #5 in the nation in both the NFCA and ESPN/USA Softball polls and N.C. State which ranks #23 (NFCA) and #22 (ESPN/USA Softball). All games will be played at the Alabama Softball complex in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. Indiana State opens its weekend on Friday February 23 as they meet N.C. State for a 10:00 a.m. game. The championship game is set for 1:30 p.m. on Sunday February 25. There will be an All-Tournament team named upon conclusion of the championship game.
