JULIE DAMICO NAMED TO ALL-BUZZ CLASSIC TEAM

ATLANTA The Sycamore’s ended the weekend tournament with a weekend record of (3-2) as they are now (10-5, 0-0 MVC) overall. After the championship game of the tournament it was announced that a Sycamore was named to the All-Tournament team, that player was Senior Julie Damico.

Damico had a solid weekend at the Buzz Classic in Woodstock, Ga. Hosted by Georgia Tech University. Her best game came in Indiana State’s (6-0) victory over Lipscomb in pool play as Damico went (2 for 4) at the plate, also accounting for 2 runs scored. For the weekend Damico hit .364 at the plate (4 for 11) while scoring seven runs and accumulating a on-base percentage of .500. She aided the Sycamore’s to another victory over an ACC opponent as the Sycamore’s defeated #21/24 Georgia Tech in the weekends opening game by a score of (4-1), in that game Damico scored the go-ahead run as she stole second to set up the scoring play.

The Sycamore’s road trip continues on Tuesday, March 6 in Starkville, Miss. as the Sycamore’s are set to play the Mississippi State Bulldogs for a single game at 4:00 p.m. local time.
