DEBBIE
STYX AND CONNIE FIEMS NAMED TO MVC ALL-CENTENNIAL TEAM

HAUTE, Ind. – As apart of its centennial celebration
the Missouri Valley Conference (1983-Present) compiled its list
of top all-time softball performers through online fan polling.
Nearly 1,000 votes were cast in the poll.
Two Sycamores
earned enough votes to be named to the All-Centennial team at the
conclusion of polling. Those Sycamores were pitcher Debbie Styx
(1988-92) and infielder Connie Fiems (1988-1991).
Debbie Styx
is among the top pitching performers in Sycamore history. The ended
her four year career at Indiana State with First Team MVC and Co-MVP
honors as a senior in 1992. Styx ended her career with 42 pitching
victories, a lifetime 1.53 ERA, 23 shutouts, 362 strikeouts, and
over 539 innings pitched.
Connie Fiems
earned All-MVC honors twice during her four year career at Indiana
State (1989, 1990). Playing primarily at second base, Fiems had
career numbers of 185 hits, 6 homeruns, .335 batting average, 85
RBI, and 82 runs scored.
