May 17, 2006 MCNICHOLS AWARDED MVC MEN’S COACH OF THE YEAR WICHITA, Kan. – Indiana State men’s head track and field coach, John McNichols, was honored as Missouri Valley Conference Men’s Coach of the Year following the Sycamores’ first-place finish at the MVC Outdoor Championships. The award is McNichols’ seventh MVC Outdoor Track and Field Coach of the Year award and second coach of the year award this season, after being awarded MVC Cross Country Coach of the Year fall of 2005. McNichols will travel with athletes when the contingency compete
at the NCAA Regional Meet on May 26 and 27 in Knoxville, Tennessee.
