SYCAMORES PLACE SEVENTEEN
ON MVC T&F SCHOLAR-ATHLETE TEAM
ST LOUIS, Mo. - Indiana State placed 17 of the
98 student-athletes honored as members of the 2006 MVC Scholar-Athlete
team on Thursday (5/18). The list included seven women and a league-leading
ten men for the Sycamores.
The criteria for the Valley Scholar-Athlete Track and Field Team
requires a student-athlete to have placed in the top six at either
the indoor or outdoor Valley championship and to maintain a GPA
of 3.00 or higher.
Freshman and first-year junior college transfer students are not
eligible.
Several members on the list will go on to compete at the NCAA Regional
Meet May 26 and 27 in Knoxville, Tennessee, including Jordan Fife,
Drew Traub, Charlie Sparks, Jason Carruthers, Yolanda Wright and
Melissa Ullenbruch.
