SYCAMORES FALL AT CREIGHTON

OMAHA, Neb. – Indiana State was led by Christy Trame’s 13 kills, but lost on the road to Creighton in three sets on Saturday night. The contest ended with a 30-18, 30-19, 30-18 score.

ISU season kill leader Tessa Wolf also posted double digits in kills with ten, in the losing effort. Freshman Kristy Cox added to her team leading number in digs with match-high 18, followed by teammate Meghan Pollard with 17. Another freshman, Alisha Polite, led the Sycamores with 25 assists.

Three Creighton players were credited with double-digit kills, including Abby Bauman (11), Kelly Goc (11) and Amanda Cvejdlik (14). As a team, the Jays led the Sycamores with a .313 to .096 attack percentage for the match, but failed to match them in blocks with a 10-14 disadvantage.

The loss drops the Sycamores to 0-22, and brings Creighton to 11-11 and 5-6 in conference play. The team will see its next action at home against Southern Illinois and Evansville, October 28 and 29 at the ISU Arena.
