EVANSVILLE TOO MUCH FOR SYCAMORES

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – Indiana State could not overcome a very efficient Evansville attack on Saturday night as it dropped a 3-0 decision at ISU Arena. Game scores were 30-17, 30-20, 30-21.

The Purple Aces hit .281 for the match after posting 50 kills and only 16 errors and took advantage of 32 Sycamore hitting mistakes to earn the victory. ISU posted 36 kills and a .028 attack percentage.

The Sycamores were led by Tessa Wolf who recorded 12 kills and a .276 attack mark. Tera Fish had a match-high 24 assists and six digs. Three Sycamores, Meghan Pollard, Katie Freeman and Kristy Cox, all posted double-digit digs.

Danielle Diehl and Erica Haukap led a balanced UE attack with 11 and 10 kills, respectively. The Purple Aces (8-19, 3-10) also held a 9-4 advantage in blocks over ISU (0-24, 0-13).

The Sycamores make their last regular season road trip next weekend as they head to Northern Iowa and Bradley for two MVC contests.
