SYCAMORES TOPPED BY SALUKIS

CARBONDALE, Ill. – Indiana State was overmatched by the Salukis on Saturday night as the Sycamores dropped a 3-0 decision in MVC action. Game scores were 30-14, 30-17, 30-14.

The Salukis controlled the action as they posted a .337 attack percentage with 36 kills and only eight errors, compared to a .010 ISU hitting mark as the Sycamores had 25 kills and 24 errors. SIU recorded attacking marks over .400 in each of the first two games as ISU never was able to get in the match.

Katie Freeman led ISU with six kills and a .333 attacking mark, while Kristy Cox and Meghan Pollard recorded 10 digs apiece. Johannah Yutzy recorded a match-high 10 kills for the Salukis.

SIU improves to 5-9 overall and 2-3 in the MVC, while ISU drops to 0-16 on the season. The Sycamores return to ISU Arena next weekend as they host Bradley and Northern Iowa.
