TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – Indiana State University
head volleyball coach Julie Krofcheck announced the schedule for
the 2006 season. The Sycamores will play in three tournaments, and
will make trips to Chicago, Pittsburgh and Michigan along with the
traditional Missouri Valley Conference slate.
"Our schedule will be a great for the young team that we will
have next season," said Krofcheck. "It will be a very
competitive schedule that will give us an opportunity to be successful."
The Sycamores will start the year with a trip back to the Central

season and Idaho State for the first time in the history of the
program.
After hosting Eastern Illinois, ISU will make a trip to Pittsburgh

Before beginning MVC action, the Sycamores head to Oakland University
(Mich.) to face the Grizzlies, Cleveland State and Bowling Green.
The Sycamores final non-conference match is at Chicago State on
Sunday, Nov. 5.
Indiana State will open the 2006 Valley docket with the defending
regular season champion, Wichita State, on September 15 and the
defending MVC Tournament champion, Missouri State, on Sept. 16.
Other key home dates will be Saturday, Sept. 30 against Creighton
and Friday, Oct. 7 when the rival Illinois State Redbirds enter
ISU Arena. Family Night will be on Nov. 10 against Northern Iowa,
while Senior Day will be Nov. 12 against Bradley.
The young Sycamores will have just two seniors along with three
sophomores and six highly touted freshmen for the 2006 season.
