Ann Lidester
Assistant Coach
1st Season

Ann Lidester begins her third season with the Sycamore volleyball program, but the first as a member of the coaching staff. Lidester was a key member of the 2004 ISU team that advanced to the MVC tournament, but a career ending shoulder injury kept her out of action in 2005 and moved her into the coaching ranks.

Lidester recorded an excellent freshman campaign for the Sycamores averaging 2.21 kills per game, which ranked fourth on the team in 2004. She led Sycamores in kills in five matches and had six matches with at least 10 kills. Lidester recorded the first two double-doubles of her career against Evansville (Oct. 15) and SIU (Oct. 16). She posted a career-high 17 digs and 13 kills against Evansville and followed the performance by tying her career-high with 19 kills and adding 10 digs, while recording a career-high six blocks against SIU.

Lidester was a three-time letterwinner at Frankfort High School and led the squad to the 3A state semifinals during her sophomore campaign. She is working on completing her degree in nursing.
