SYCAMORES FALL TO IDAHO STATE ON DAY TWO OF SUPER 8 CLASSIC
TERRE HAUTE, Ind. –
Indiana State was paced with seven kills by
Stephanie Volden, but it was not enough as the Sycamores dropped
their second match of the season, and the weekend, to Idaho State by
a score of 3-0. Game scores were 30-19, 30-17, and 30-27. ISU falls
to 0-2 on the year while Idaho State improves to 2-0.
Volden posted seven kills on 22 total
attempts to hit .182 for the match. Stephanie Meyer and Stephanie
Roof each posted six kills in the match. Roof had the lone Sycamore
ace of the match while Whitney Nichols led the way with 22 assists.
Defensively, Kristy Cox had 10 digs. Roof continued her strong play
at the net with two block solos and a pair of block assists for a
total of four blocks.
The Sycamores continue play in the Super 8
Chippewa Classic with its final match of the weekend tonight, when
they face off against UW-Green Bay at 5:00 p.m. (EST).
