September 23, 2006 SYCAMORES FALL AT EVANSVILLE, 3-0 EVANSVILLE, Ind. -- Indiana State suffered its second defeat of the weekend by a count of 3-0 at Evansville on Saturday night. Game scores were 30-19, 30-11, 30-19. The Sycamores fall to 3-12, 0-4 MVC while the Purple Aces improved to 9-6, 3-1 MVC. ISU was paced in the match by Stephanie Volden, who posted four kills and a .449 hitting percentage. She was in one a pair of blocks as well for the Sycamores. Jodi Stoker, Stephanie Roof, Kristy Cox and Kelli Whitaker added a trio of kills as well. Cox led the Sycamore defense with 10 digs, while Roof added a block solo. Whitney Nichols had 17 set assists in the match. The red hot Purple Aces recorded their third consecutive three-game victory. The campaign continues next week when ISU hosts Drake and Creighton next weekend at ISU Arena. The Sycamores welcome the Bulldogs on September 29 and the Bluejays on September 30. Both matches begin at 7:00 p.m. (EST).
