Blumberg Center for Interdisciplinary Studies in Special Education
Blumberg Center Scholarship
Award provides assistance and opportunities to students interested in pursuing careers in special education or communication disorders at Indiana State University.
Each recipient who maintains a 3.5 grade point average is awarded $1,500.00 per year for a maximum of four years. The holder of the Blumberg Scholarship also may be awarded the renewable Indiana State University Academic Scholarship worth approximately $1,000.00.
A student must:
- Have a total SAT score of 100 or better or an ACT score of 24 or higher AND high school rankings in the upper 10%.
- Have professional interests in children with exceptionalities with the intent to major in Special Education or Communication Disorders through the Department of Communication Disorders or Department of Elementary, Early and Special Education at Indiana State University.
- Actively participate in Blumberg Center activities (up to 50 contact hours per semester) and in student related activities in the Department of Communication Disorders or Elementary, Early, and Special Education.
