Call for Participants
The 2008 Summer Academy for School Psychologists (SASP) is collaboration between the school psychology program at Indiana University-Bloomington and the Blumberg Center for Interdisciplinary Studies in Special Education. The purpose of the 2008 SASP is to support school psychology practitioners in developing skills and competencies related to tiered systems of prevention and intervention and data-based decision-making.
Specifically, the goals of the 2008 SASP will be to provide participating school psychologists:
(a) knowledge of academic and behavioral interventions and response-to-intervention models; (b) skills in the practical application of response-to-intervention procedures, including curriculum-based measurement, and intervention design and evaluation; and (c) leadership competencies related to systems level consultation and evaluation.
The SASP will be held at Indiana State University, Terre Haute, IN July 31-August 1, 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM. Proposals for participating in the 2008 Summer Academy for School Psychologists (SASP) are now being accepted. The number of participants is limited given available funding. Additionally, if we do not receive a minimum number of applications for participation, it may be necessary to cancel the 2008 SASP.
Participant selection will be based on the following criteria:
