Fair Agenda

Be Career Fair Prepared

Remember this is a Career Opportunity Fair, which means you may search for part-time, internships, and full-time employment. If you are not ready to begin your job search, you may still talk with employers about future availabilities in your area of study.

• Make an appointment with the Career Center staff for resume review and/or practice interview.
• Upload resume to Sycamore Career Link (ISU participants only).
• Prepare your professional dress.
• Develop your introduction and lead-in questions for employers.

Fair Day

• Start time: 10:00 a.m.
• Bring your student ID.
• Professional dress required. (You only have one time to make a first impression)
• Dress appropriately and present a copy of your professional resume when registering at the Career Fair. You will then be entered in a drawing to win a Flip camera.
• Before leaving the fair, please fill out your student survey form at the exit point. We value your suggestions and ideas.
• End time: 2:00 p.m.
• Be sure to have plenty of copies of your resume.

After the Fact

• Thank you cards, e-mails and follow-up calls to employers.
• Check your interview status on Sycamore Career Link (If employer indicated to go through the system.)
• Start preparing for the Spring Career Opportunity Fair (Wednesday, February 9, 2011.)
