Hello! The time for registration for Summer & Fall 2009 semester is here. This page has all of the links to information you need to register. Here are the step by step instructions:

For Undergraduates:

1. Your first step is to make sure you have no holds on your account. You CANNOT register for anything as long as you have a hold on your account (i.e. unpaid bills, etc.).
2. If you have not read the information on the page linked here then DO SO! We still have problems with current distance students not following instructions. Please read this entire page.
3. If at any time you have a question or concern, check here FIRST before e-mailing and asking. Almost 90% of the e-mail questions sent to the distance education coordinator and advisors are already answered here. When staff have to take time answering the same questions over and over it delays getting students registered and helping other students.
4. Your next step is getting your DARS report to see what courses you need. Questions #3 and #4 at this link tell you how to get your DARS and how to read it.
5. Once you have determined what courses you need, a bulletin of online courses arranged like your DARS is available here. If the course is not listed on this bulletin, then it is generally not available. DO NOT e-mail and ask to be enrolled in any online courses that have section numbers of 309 or 620. Those are not regular distance courses!
6. Next, determine your registration time. Question #1 at this link tells you how to do that. You CANNOT register before your registration period begins.
7. Once your time period for registration begins you can register yourself for general education courses. Question #8 here tells you how to do that. If you try and it says "Registration Error", then the course is either full or you must contact the instructor to get registered. If it asks for an advisement PIN then fill out this form and the PIN will e-mailed to you.
8. If you want a course listed in the bulletin as ICN, then you must contact Distance Support Services at 812-237-8080 to get registered for it. ICN courses are taught via distance by other Indiana colleges and universities. You register for these courses through ISU and your grades are reported directly to ISU (i.e. no transfer work).
9. For your CRIM courses, you MUST fill out this form to request them. You will be contacted about your request at your ISU Outlook e-mail address only.
10. Once you are registered, go here to see question #14 about what to do now.

For Graduate Students:

4. The graduate DARS reports are habitually wrong. They do not correctly show transfer work or course substitutions. These records are kept internally. DO NOT go solely by your DARS report! If you are unsure what to take, don't panic. Go to step #5 and the correct course sequence will be chosen for you.
5. If you are an M.A. student, to register for CRIM699 you MUST already have your thesis committee in place. If you are an M.S. student, take note: you MUST do two CRIM698 internships to get the required six hours of internship credit.
6. For your next step, you MUST fill out this form to request classes. You will be contacted about your request at your ISU Outlook e-mail address only. DO NOT ask to be enrolled in any online courses that have section numbers of 309 or 620. Those are not regular distance courses!
7. All graduate students begin registration March 30th. You will NOT be able to register prior to that date!
