College Challenge
Information for Educators
College Challenge is a win-win program for high schools, students, and the
University.
High school students earn college credit (at a significantly reduced rate) and high
school credit simultaneously for courses offered in their high schools. Tuition
fee waivers are available for students eligible for free or reduced lunch
programs. Please review the
College Challenge Student Guide for all program details.
High school teachers enhance their courses and engage in professional
development in their disciplines.
The University has the opportunity to create new lines of
communication with prospective college students, high school principals,
guidance counselors, and teachers.

Information for Current College Challenge Instructors
If you are a current College Challenge instructor, please note the following
information:
- The
registration process for Fall 2011 is deadline driven, and it is critical
that all deadlines are met to ensure proper and timely processing of all College
Challenge student registrations. Be sure to familiarize yourself with the
timeline requirements in advance of the next semester.
- An annual summer workshop is held each summer. All high school teachers and
ISU department chairs are required to attend this annual training for
certification and accreditation purposes. Details on workshops are sent to
teachers by the College Challenge Director. Teachers are paid a stipend for
attending the summer workshops to cover travel costs and time of attending the
program.
- All teachers are also required to complete and submit the Academic Renewal Form on an annual basis, beginning Fall 2009.
