Slotnick
Slotnick is a 31 node / 64 processor system was purchased from Aspen Computing in June of 2004.
System Details
- (1) Head Node Dual AMD Opteron Processor 244, 4 GB of ram and 5 200 GB 7200 RPM Serial ATA hard drives.
- (2) Dual AMD Opteron Processor 244 systems, each with 16GB of ram and dual 250 GB 7,200 RPM Serial ATA hard drives.
- (12) Dual AMD Opteron Dual Processor 244 systems, each with 8GB of ram and dual 160 GB 7,200 RPM Serial ATA hard drives.
- (16) Dual AMD Opteron Dual Processor 244 systems, each with 4GB of ram and dual 160 GB 7,200 RPM Serial ATA hard drives.
- The cluster nodes are connected with both an Infiniband and gigabit interconnect.
- The cluster uses SuSe Linux 9.1 operating system.
