Login to Blackboard and your course site. Click on Control Panel:
Decide where it is that you wish to add your content. For this example, we will add content with an image to Course Documents.
We will do so by using add Item. Click on Add Item.
A new page appears. Type the name of the page. For this example we will call the content page “Content with Image”. Then cut and paste your content into the text box.
In section 2, Content Attachments, you can then create a link to an image that you wish to include. You will browse for the image which is preferably a .jpg or a .gif which has been optimized for the web. Click on Browse and then select the image that you wish to upload. Once you have selected it the path will appear beside your browse button. Then type the name of the image and choose “Create a link to this file” from the drop down menu.
Complete the options section: You can determine if you wish to make the content visible or not visible. You may also wish to track the number of views. You can also choose the dates and times that you wish to display the content and the image.
Click submit.

On the next screen you will receive a content receipt. Click Ok.
You can now see your image link along with the text that you copied and pasted into the text block.
On the right hand side of the screen, you can
make any changes by clicking on Modify.
Click Ok. You are now returned to the Control Panel. Follow the breadcrumb trail and view your image from the home page. Click on the link for the name of your site.
You are returned to the home page. For this example, we placed the content and image into Course Documents. Click on the Course Documents button for your site.
Now you see the content and the image link. Click on the image link to view your image.
You have now added an image as a link from your content.
Another way to add an image to your content is to use Front Page and make an .html document and add the image to the .html document. For additional information regarding this contact the Instructional Designer.
