Once you have an item or entry in your gradebook, what can you do with it? This section will show you how to quickly navigate to settings and other points of interest for specific items in the gradebook.
To access your gradebook, log on to Blackboard and select your course. To view your grade book, click on Control Panel in the lower left of the screen.

In the control Panel screen, locate the Assessment area and click on Gradebook.

When the gradebook opens, click on the specific item you wish to view or modify.

If the item you are opening is a quiz created by Blackboard, you will see four options.
The first item is Item Grade List. Click on this link to see the grades for this single item (assessment).

In the dialog screen that opens you can edit grades and view how the students performed on the item.

Once you are done click on the OK button.

The next option is Item Information. Click on this link if you need to edit the item information found in the gradebook.

The screen that opens is the same screen you use to create or edit an item in the gradebook. When you are finished, clicking on the Submit button will update the information.

If you click on Cancel you will return to Item Options, if you click on submit you will receive a notification that the information has been updated.

The third option is Item Detail. This will give you some statistical information about this particular item.

The information presented in the dialog box refers to the entire item. This should not be confused with an item analysis, which generally refers to individual questions. This is a more broad interpretation of the assignment as a whole.

This last item "Assessment Attempt Details" will only be visible if the item is a quiz created in Blackboard.

Assessment Attempt Details will give you an overview of the entire quiz with each question broken out with limited details. In this example only one person has taken the quiz, so all results are equal to 100%, but this should give you and idea what you can expect to see.

For each question on the assessment you will be able to see the average score, which answer was selected as correct, and the percentage of students taking the assessment that used each answer, foil, or failed to answer.
