follow a specific procedure in submitting assignments. This is
not the same as e-mailing an assignment or using the Digital Drop
Box.
Assignments can be found just about anywhere in a content area,
however many instructors will use the Assignment area. Log on
to Blackboard and enter your course. Click in the Assignment
button on the left of the screen to see assignments.

In the assignment area look for your current assignment. Click on the View/Complete link.

In the assignment screen you will find the name of the assignment and some instructions.

In the next part of the screen is where you can add comments about the assignment and attach any files your need to submit. To attach a file click on the Browse button.

Here is a hint for using the assignment tool. You can add the files you need to complete an assignment (such as research articles or other files you want to reference) and you will be able to save a refer back to these files by clicking on the Save button rather than the Submit button. This way you can access the files from any location where you have internet access and not worry about having your disk with you. Just be sure to remove your reference articles or files before you actually submit your assignment. Only submit what is required to successfully complete the assignment.
Using the Save button allows you to keep your work in one location until you are ready to submit your assignment.
When you click on Save you will receive a confirmation that the files have been updated. Click ok to continue.
To return to your assignment enter the course, navigate to the assignment, and click on the View/Complete link.

This will return you to your assignment and associated files. To submit your assignment, click on the Submit button.
You will receive a confirmation that the files have been updated.
Once an assignment has been submitted you cannot make any additional changes, and clicking on the View/Complete link will open ...
a dialog box confirming that you have already submitted your assignment. However if your click on the OK button you can look at your evaluation or grade for the assignment.
In this screen you can review the files you submitted, see your grade, and read any additional comment the instructor may have added.
