The IRTS staff conducts training at several campus locations.
Normal Hall 301A (IRTS conference room)
Equipment includes a PC with remote keyboard, a SmartBoard, a VCR/DVD
player, and PolyCom videoconferencing equipment. Typically , hands-on
workshops in NH 301A are taught with laptop computers using wireless
connections (see Mobile Training Cart, below). Six (6) can sit comfortably
for hands-on workshops, more for presentations.
Mobile Training Cart
Special training by the IRTS staff can be arranged in your area with the use
of our mobile training cart. Eight laptop computers equipped for wireless
connectivity and a projection unit can be brought to most rooms on campus
for on-site learning. To discuss this training option, contact Teresa Crafton

Digital Sandbox
The digital sandbox, a small computer cluster containing both PCs and Macintosh
computers with the newest hardware and software, is located in the IRTS office
on the third floor of Normal Hall. Training staff will be on hand if needed. To
schedule “play” time in the digital sandbox, call the IRTS office at x2676.
Parsons Hall 003
A training lab with 12 PCs, two instructors’ workstations and a Smart Board is located
in the basement of Parsons Hall (PH) in room 003. This computer lab is available on a
space-available basis for technology training sessions. To reserve the PH 003 training
