As you prepare for classes and begin to assume the role of a faculty member, a number of campus resources are available to help you in this transition. The list below is not comprehensive but represents a good starting point for assisting you in your first year.

Cunningham Memorial Library - The library is one of the richest resources with access to LexisNexis, EBSCO, Proquest and several others. They can also help in establishing online reading lists for your class and help both you and your students to do research.

Office of Information Technology Help Desk - Need computing help? From creating a web page to reading your e-mail, the Help Desk is here to lend assistance. You can submit your requests through an online form or by dialing 812-237-2910.

Office of Sponsored Programs - This office provides a variety of services to faculty, staff, and students in their pursuit of external funds for research and scholarly activity.

Office of Strategic Planning, Institutional Research and Effectiveness - The Office of Strategic Planning, Institutional Research and Effectiveness (OSPIRE) is comprised of five related, but separate, functions: strategic planning, institutional research, assessment, reporting, and institutional effectiveness.

Syllabus Suggestions - Every course needs a syllabus, and this document offers some suggestions on how to develop your syllabus. As always, check with your peers or chair to see if there is departmental template or department specific requirements for a syllabus.

University Testing Office - The Testing Office is here to help you with classroom assessments and evaluations. They can also run item analysis on the assessments that you prepare for your courses.
