Adding MINITAB for Windows, Release 14.0 to your Windows Workstation

General Information

MINITAB for Windows, Release 14.0, was loaded in the spring, 2003. It can be run on Windows 95, 98, 2000, Me, XP or Windows NT 4. Data files created in the earlier versions are compatible and may be read directly into the program.

To add the MINITAB for Windows, Release 14.0, program to your workstation, use the following instructions.

Liscensing Requirement
To access MINITAB, you must have KeyServer installed on your computer. Call the Help Desk - 2910 - for information.

System Requirements

Windows 95, 98, 2000, Me, XP or Windows NT 4

Memory

Processor: 486 or higher; math coprocessor strongly recommended with 486

Free Disk Space Requirement: 5K for workstation installation

VGA or SVGA monitor, minimum 800 X 600 recommended

Client Installation Instructions

Add MINITAB 14.0 to Your Workstation

  1. Exit all windows programs you have running.
    NOTE: The drive mapping is now a part of the login procedure and the new drive will be S.
  2. Click Start > Run
  3. In the box, type the following command:

    \EMPRODV\EMPROD\STATS\MINITAB14\ADMIN\SETUP.EXE
  4. Click OK
  5. The MINITAB Icon Creator will start. On the "Welcome" Screen, click Next

    You will see the "Select features" Screen. Click Next

    You will see "Locate the Minitab 14 folder" screen. Type S:\Stats\Minitab14
  6. Click Next
  7. Click Next
  8. Click Yes
  9. Click Finish

Accessing MINITAB for Windows, Release 15.0

Access MINITAB by clicking Start > Programs > MINITAB 14.0 for Windows > MINITAB

For convenience, you may want to "manually" create the shortcut.
