This major prepares individuals to teach children in elementary primary and elementary intermediate school settings (in Indiana: grades K-5, dependent on school settings). It is a teacher licensure program.
Speech-Language Pathology (SLP)
This major prepares individuals to work with individuals needing speech and/or hearing therapy. A master's degree is required to qualify for licensure which permits working in school/hospital settings.
Special/Elementary Education (SPED)
Mild Disabilities: This major prepares individuals to teach children and adolescents with mild disabilities at any grade or school level: elementary, middle school, and high school. It is a teacher program that leads to licensing in Special Education - Mild Disabilities (K-12) and Elementary Education (K-5).
