Provides a wide variety of services to families in need. Programs include food assistance, financial assistance, seasonal assistance, disaster assistance, Project Breakthrough, Helping Hand, and Vision USA. Plans are currentlly underway for a new community center to be located at the 200 block of South 8th Street.

Food Assistance
Food Pantry is available to assist with food needs. Limited to once every three months.
Commodity Foods are distributed as available to supplement food boxes. Limited to once a month.
Baby Formula is available while waiting to qualify for WIC program.  Diapers and baby food are also sometimes available, limited to once a month.

Financial Assistance
Rent and Utilities Assistance helps with rent payment and to reconnect and/or pay a portion of the utility bill.  Bills are paid directly to the service provider.  Limited to once a year.
Prescription Assistance is available for individuals who cannot cover the cost of prescriptions by other means. Limited to once every six  months.

Transportation Assistance supplies gasoline or bus transportation for individuals in need. Verification of a medical appointment, job interview or qualified emergency is required. Limited to twice per year.

Fan/Heater Assistance provides vouchers to be used towards the purchase of a fan or a heater at a participating merchant.

Other Assistance Areas

Project Breakthrough provides a collaborative self-sufficiency program designed to help families escape the poverty cycle through the use of volunteer mentorship, support groups and social work intervention.

Helping Hand provides the elderly and disabled assistance with their electric bills.

Vision USA works in cooperation with local optometrists to assist those in need of eye care.

Seasonal Assistance provides several programs in cooperation with many groups, clubs and individuals.  These programs include sumemr camps,, prison ministries, nursing home ministries, back-to-school supplies and Christmas food baskets and toys.

Disaster Assistance provides an Emergency Mobile Canteen with hot/cold drinks, food, and cleaning supplies.

Miscellaneous items are given away as received.

Hours: Monday thru Friday, 9-11:00 a.m., 1-3:00 p.m.
