Adjust Color

If you need to adjust the color of an image, clicking the Color link in the edit menu and the Color enhancement control panel will be displayed.

Once you have selected an image click on the Enhance color button.

When you move your cursor over the image your cursor will change into target.  You need to fill the center of the target with as much white as possible and click over the target area with the left mouse button.

The program will then correct the color of the image.

If you want to manually adjust the color you can use the Hue and saturation settings tools.

In this example the Hue is set in the red part of the spectrum.  By reducing the amount of red by 20, the image has a light blue tint.

In this example the Hue is in the same position as in the previous example, but this time red has been increased by 20.  The resulting image has a slight pink tint.

Saturation can also be considered the color intensity of an image.  The higher the number the greater the color saturation.  In the first image saturation has been set at zero.

In this image saturation has been increased to 30 and the colors are a little more vivid.  If this was taken to the extreme and set at 100, there would be solid colors without any smooth shadows.

In this image the saturation as been reduce by 30.  The colors are less vivid and if taken to the extreme and set at -100 there would be a complete absence of color.
