| Crop a Picture At times you may only want to
use a portion of a larger image. To trim away the unwanted
portions of an image is called cropping. Picture Manager offers a
couple of different ways to crop and image. From the main edit
page, click on the Crop settings link. The Crop setting menus will
show on the right side of the window.

One method of cropping is to select an aspect ration from the pull
down menu. These ratios are most commonly used in photography.

When you select one of the aspect rations you will notice in the edit
window that a box has been overlaid the image.

What is displayed within the borders is what will saved, and the
areas outside the borders will be discarded.

In the above example the landscape orientation was used, in the
picture below the portrait orientation was selected.

You can also crop the image manually. When you first selected
crop from the edit menu "handles" appeared around the image. If
you move your cursor over a hand the curse will change as shown below.
If you click and hold on a handle, you can slide the edge of the image
to a new position.

When using the handles to edit you can move the four sides of an
image to any position.

You can also adjust two sides of an image at the same time by using
the handle in the corner.

As you move the handles you may notice that the numbers in the right
hand column change, These indicate the position of the edges
of the newly cropped image.

At the bottom of the right hand column are the overall dimensions of
the newly cropped image. In this example the new image is 1270
pixels wide by 1000 pixels in height.
