| Resize an Image Images
(regardless of where they came from) are rarely the exact size you need.
In most programs, such as FrontPage, PowerPoint or Word, you can resize
an image so it will fit. Although the image appears smaller and
fits, in actuality it is the original size. For example
if you put an imagine in a web page, the image would first be downloaded
as the original size, then process or changed to the dimensions
specified. Because this involves a second process the time it
takes for an image to display would be increased. It is better to
resize images to your specifications before inserting images into web
site, a slide presentation or a document.
Once you select an image for editing, click the Resize link.

There are three ways to resize an image using Picture Manager.
- Predefined
- Custom
- Percentage

If you select Predefined the pull down menu will display the various
sizes. All you need to do is select the size and click the OK
button at the bottom of the column.

The Custom setting allows you to specify the exact size you need.
Because this is resizing the aspect ratio will not be changed and you
only need to adjust either the width or height of the image. As
you adjust one dimension, Picture Manager will automatically adjust the
other dimension.

The third method of resizing is to define the new size by the
percentage of the original.

Regardless of the method selected to resize an image, the new size of
the image will be displayed at the bottom of the column.
