Bachelor Degree-Completion Program
The Technology Management Program is a technical management degree that includes course work in three areas:
- Technology management
- A technical specialization
- The University's General Education Program
Because the Technology Management Program allows for 21 credit hours of technical concentration credit, this program is well suited for transfer students. You and your academic advisor can custom build a program of study based on your educational background and your future professional goals.
Many individuals and employers prefer a degree that offers a general preparation in technology and management. The Technology Management Program is ideal if you are seeking this type of flexible, broad-based bachelor degree.
Packaging Minor (optional)
It is possible to earn a minor in packaging within this degree by completing 18 credit hours of approved course work. This packaging minor is beneficial to anyone involved with design, manufacturing, or transportation. The minor is an excellent way to increase your employability and to supplement skills and abilities. For details, visit packaging minor.
The Technology Management Program is accredited by The Association of Technology, Management, and Applied Engineering (ATMAE).
The Technology Management Program typically includes 63 credit hours. The specific courses and credit required vary, depending on course work transferred.
If you transfer a technology-related associate of science (A.S.), the courses taken at ISU will be as listed below. If you transfer a technology-related associate of applied science (A.A.S.), you will complete the course work listed below; deficiencies can be satisfied once admitted to the University.

You have the option of completing the Technology Management Program on the Indiana State University campus—or via distance learning.
Distance Learning Option:
- All required courses in the Technology Management major are offered via the Internet or other distance formats. For details on course delivery for a particular course, see Course Descriptions
- General education requirements can be fulfilled by a combination of course work earned through the University's Distance Learning Program, the Indiana College Network, and your local college or university.
- On-campus visits are not required.
Building on your previous education, the Technology Management Program prepares you with the skills and knowledge required for professional management-oriented positions in a variety of technological fields.
Indiana State University's degree provides you with the ability to creatively apply technology and human resources to solve problems. Graduates of the Technology Management Program qualify for management-level careers in their technical specialization area.
The Technology Management Program is open to eligible in-state, out-of-state, and international applicants. The program is designed for transfer students. For details on credit transfer and admission requirements, see chart (below).
Technology Management
To be admitted to the distance learning program in technology management, you must be admitted to the University as a degree-seeking student and satisfy the following:
- Completion of an associate of applied science (A.A.S.) or an associate of sciences (A.S.) in a technology-related program from a regionally accredited college or university
- A cumulative grade point average of 2.0 (C average) in all college level studies
The following are general guidelines. Upon admission, academic advisors review transcripts to determine which credit transfers and which courses will be included in your program of study.
- Credit earned from regionally accredited colleges or universities is transferable.
- Transfer credit is assigned only for courses in which you have earned a grade of C or higher.
- Generally, an equivalent number of credit hours are given.
- In some cases, credit may be transferable to the University, but may not be applied toward completion of the Technology Management Program.
- Remedial, audited, or non-credit classes do not transfer.
- College Living, orientation, and study skills classes do not transfer.
- Up to 94 credit hours of total transfer credit will be accepted for transfer into a bachelor degree program; at least 30 credit hours must be completed through ISU to earn the bachelor degree.
- If you transfer an A.S. in a technology-related program, the courses taken at ISU will be as listed above.
- If you transfer an A.A.S. in a technology-related program, you will complete the course work listed above; deficiencies can be satisfied once admitted to the University.
