This course is designed to provide senior level undergraduate students and graduate students an opportunity to study the care and education of young children from a global perspective. The cross-national analysis offers ISU students a unique opportunity to examine a wider range of variation in the settings where care and education are provided to young children. They also allow ISU students the opportunity to conduct a global comparison of relationships between national policy and the effects of national policies on the lives of children and families.
