The Family Nurse Practitioner Graduate Certificate is designed for the registered nurse who already holds a master degree in nursing -- and now wishes to add Family Nurse Practitioner Certification.
This online program consists of 22-33 credit hours, depending on prior coursework completed in the individual's master degree program.
Courses are delivered via the Internet. All courses are developed and taught by faculty of the College of Nursing, Indiana State University. No on-campus visits are required. The program can be completed in 16 months (from August until December of the following year).
Upon successful completion of program requirements, a certificate is awarded and students are eligible to apply for American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) or American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) certification.
Indiana State University's Nursing Program is accredited by the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission.

Course Delivery
All nursing courses are offered via the Internet. Clinical courses may be
arranged in your community. On-campus visits are not required. This on-line
program includes lectures delivered via video and audio. High-speed Internet
connection is required (as well as a headset and microphone, and web camera).

Submit to the School of Graduate Studies a fully completed Non-Degree
Admission Application Form (below) with a non-refundable admission
application fee of $35.00 payable by credit card, money order, or check payable
to Indiana State University.
Submit to School of Graduate Studies official transcripts from a regionally accredited institution. Non-Degree Admission: Once admitted, you will receive a Sycamore login and password (via regular postal service) for the MyISU Portal. The Portal offers you access to online registration, your University records, and other important University services, including e-mail, and University announcements. Log-on instructions are located on the Portal site at http://myisu.indstate.edu |

Once admitted, you will be contacted by an academic advisor who will provide
information and assistance with registration.

To access your online courses, log on to the MyISU Portal at
http://myisu.indstate.edu and click the My Courses tab. Typically,
courses are not accessible until the first day.
