Bridget Riley (1931-)

Lived in New York, known for Op-Art, Non-Objective. Credited as a key figure in the Op Art Movement of the 1960’s.  An optical illusion is created by using  minimal repeating forms, and subtle undulating patterned designs that force movement and stress on the eye.

Bridget Riley helped to establish copyright laws for artists after several of her images were reproduced without her permission by the fashion community.
