Originally Towle Silversmiths of Newburyport, MA founded in 1690 with
partner/artisan/designer William Moulton II. The insignia brand was first applied
to the product in 1880. The ‘Old Master’ pattern was one of the most popular and had
a 50 year design run. Currently the brand is owned by the Syratech Corporation-Boston.
