Gilbert Wilson (1907 - 1991)
Terre Haute,
Indiana native, student at Indiana State University and the Art
Institute of Chicago and Yale. Wilson’s work was influenced by the
Mexican muralists Rivera, Orozco and Siqueros.
He painted
over 300 paintings on the subject of Herman Melville’s epic “Moby
Dick”.
