GH101k: Love from the bourgeois to the modern
fall 2010
This course will study novels, plays and short works addressing social expectations and gender roles from the 18th to 20th century. Readings will include the German bourgeois tragedy, Madame Bovary, Ibsen, Collette, Duras and Atwood.
