HOW TO APPLY
incoming Freshmen
Incoming freshmen must meet at least ONE of the following criteria to be considered for admission into the University Honors Program:
- Earn a cumulative high school GPA = 3.7 on a 4.0 scale
- Score = 1100 on the SAT (math + verbal) OR = 24 ACT composite score
- Graduate within the top 10% of her/his high school class
Freshmen applicants must also complete the following application form and submit a brief essay as part of that application.
If you do not meet the above criteria, but strongly feel that you could succeed in the Honors program, please contact the program director. If your entrance qualifications as an incoming freshman make you ineligible for initial entry into the program, a semester or more of good academic performance at ISU is all it takes to demonstrate your scholarly potential.
