get involved with honors: President's Scholars Association

The President's Scholars Association offers President's Scholars a chance to build relationships with fellow scholarship recipients, ISU faculty members, and community leaders, as well as give back to the ISU and Terre Haute communities.

The organization offers various social, leadership, and volunteer opportunities to create a sense of community within the scholarship program. The President's Scholars Association tends to focus more heavily on community outreach and philanthropy, and regularly participates in the Susan G. Koman Race for the Cure and the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life, as well as volunteers time at the local Lighthouse Mission serving lunch.

The President's Scholars Association annually coordinates a retreat early in the Fall semester, which serves as an opportunity for freshmen scholarship recipients to get to know each other and bond with sophomore, junior, and senior scholarship recipients and also some of the Honors faculty and staff. The retreat is usually held at the Indiana State University Field Campus in Brazil, IN.

There are leadership opportunities within the President's Scholars Association as President, Vice President, Treasurer, and Secretary.

NOTE: President's Scholarships are competitive university scholarships that are annually awarded to incoming freshmen.
